My home town of Butte, Montana after sunset. This is a rare sunset. There were some thin clouds very high in the atmosphere that stayed red more than a half hour past sunset. In fact, they kept getting more red until they reached a climax and then faded to black. Normally the sunset clouds will lose their color before the city lights come on. I took this photograph in December of 1993 and I haven't seen a sunset like it since.
